okay, so I finally have the first couple days done with which is always the hardest. You feel awkward and are following around the PT like a little puppy dog and trying to figure out your place in this new crowd of really smart people. BUT, everyone is really nice and working to make me feel welcome and kind of show me the ropes. Hopefully it appears that I know a little bit and will start actually doing some hands on stuff in the next few days. My clinical instructor has been out of town the past two days and will be in tomorrow so that will help define my role as a "student PT." I'm nervous about actually evaluating and treating a patient, but at this point I'm a little bored just watching so I figure the only way to really start learning stuff is to actually do it! I have just come to accept the fact that it is probably going to take me at least 30 minutes to do an eval and I'll probably forget some stuff and mess up, but I'm just ready to get started! I'm starting to think I can actually do this PT stuff....I'll let you know how it works out :) Oh and I now know what adhesions sound like as they are being ripped apart in the shoulder...just like velcro!

Yuck!!! Whose shoulder??? That sounds awful. Not much happening here. Today really stunk! Car battery was dead, I had to go to the dentist and the computer quit. I think it had something to do with the coffee???? Love, Mom
