So after almost 2 years of convincing Shawna FINALLY bought a mountain bike. She actually got a really good deal on a Specialized mountain bike. I would just like to add that this purchase is in addition to the tent, camp chairs, sleeping bag and fishing pole that she now owns (like I said, so proud). Anyways Thursday afternoon, Shawna, Josh, Jeremy, Jake, Greg and I decided to head out to Palo Duro Canyon to break in Shawna's new bike. For those of you not familiar to the vast greatness of west Texas, Palo Duro is a state park about 30 min away from Amarillo that has some great camping, hiking and mountain biking trails. You can actually forget that you are in flat, tree less west texas when your down in the canyon. Anyways, Shawna did great and I think she actually may have enjoyed herself a little. For those of you that have tried mountain biking you know that the first time you go, it's a little rough and takes time to get used to using certain muscles and figuring out how to ride.
