Monday- This day consists of my weekly dose of bad reality television that Shawna and I can't help but watch.."The Hills" need I say more? I'll be the first to admit that the show is really pointless, but it's like a trainwreck, I can't help but watch!
Tuesday-Pottery class! So Shawna, Becca and I are participating in a pottery class tuesday evenings for a few hours and it is so much fun. So far we have each made a few "bowls" or objects that resemble cylindrical structures. By the end of these six weeks I'm pretty sure we are going to be amazing. Our instructor Kent is awesome and makes some really beautiful things. He's so passionate about what he does which is great. I love to be around passionate people that love what they do, it's so refreshing. The name of the gallery is Blue Sage Pottery http://bluesagepotteryandartgallery.com/default.aspx He throws the pots and his wife is the painter...check it out!
Wednesday- Even though we had a test on Friday Shawna, Jodie, Bridgett and I headed to the Midnight Rodeo (I know, don't judge me) to see Stoney LaRue. He's one of my favorite"texas country" artists and we didn't get to see him last time he was here so we sacrificed a few hours of sleep and went to see him. And I might add we all did well on our tests on friday...no harm done!
Thursday-Grey's Anatomy...finally! Okay, so from this post it seems like my life might revolve around tv, but come on it's been so long since Grey's has been on...and this is really the only show that I can't miss. The 2 hour premiere was pretty great. A few things I'm questioning though. 1) The new lesbian relationship is interesting...I mean I have no problem with it, but it just seems a little awkward. We will have to see how it pans out. 2) What was with Izzy and Denny at the end? Are we not over him, I mean he's dead...there's really no where for that story to go. 3) I'm getting a little tired of Meredith pulling the same old shit...give us something we aren't expecting. 4) Finally...I want cute army boy to come back fo sho!
Friday- MOUNTAIN BIKING! So the more I go out to the canyon the more I fall in love with riding. This time, Shawna, Caroline, Becca, Jake, Josh, Jeremy and I all went out. The girls and Jake rode the lighthouse trail while Josh and Jeremy rode the trail that Josh was riding in his race on Sunday. It was so fun...I'm starting to do little jumps and trying to keep up with Jake a little more...baby steps. Below are some pics from our trip.
Saturday- In the morning Shawna, Kat, Kyle and I "raced" a.k.a. walked for the cure. There were a ton of people out which was great to see. We walked a 5k around downtown and people had decorated their houses with pink streamers, boas and stuff. It was great to see how many people supported the cause! Later in the afternoon we had our annual "Bags" party at Dean Hooten's house. For those of you that don't know "Bags" is like washers but with bean bags and some plywood boxes with holes cut in them. It was cool to hangout with everyone but it was really hot! I'm ready for fall to get here and for the weather to cool off. Saturday night Shawna and I went out with some of the second years. We headed out to Burberry's to have a few drinks and catch some live music. It was really fun...those kids are hilarious. More good times to come I'm sure.
Sunday-I'm a nerd so I went to The 806, a local coffee shop, a studied for a few hours. I actually got quite a bit done which is good considering I have a practical and a test this week! AND Cheddars just opened in Amarillo and I am so pumped...so Shawna, Chris and I are getting ready to go...yesssssss!
